Distributed Micro and Mini-generation of Electric Energy have been financial and socio-environmental innovations that meet the demands of places not covered by the electric grid and allow sharing of the surplus with neighboring regions. In this sense, several studies were carried out with the aim of improving aspects of this project, one of them being the use of Pumps as Turbines – PAT's - because hydraulic pumps are more cost-effective and deliver results similar to those of turbines. The present study, therefore, aimed at the feasibility of applying the PAT's project of receiving water from a dam in a rural area of Colatina-ES, in addition to portraying the values of the investment made and the projection of the time in which it would begin to have a return on the investment.
Keywords: hydraulic pumps, micro hydro systems, electric energy.
